- This very special, limited edition Loetscher cuckoo clock depicts a classic Swiss farm scene. At the center of it all, standing behind his wheelbarrow, is our busy but genial farmer. To the left of him is a chicken, sitting atop a little bridge that crosses a stream flowing from the chalet’s waterwheel. If we look a little more closely we’ll notice the finely detailed carving on the waterwheel’s thatched roof.
- To the right of our farmer is a robust-looking, well-fed dairy cow, sporting a large bell around its neck—an important tool for farmers to locate a cow who’s wondered off while grazing in an Alpine meadow. Two decorative metallic cowbells—a common sight at Swiss farmhouses—adorn this chalet. And, as with all our Loetscher cuckoo clocks, the flowers and boulders that bedeck our chalet come from Lake Brienz.
- This picturesque pastoral scene has three moving elements: the dancers on the balcony, the water wheel and the pile of hay in front of the cow.
