- This chalet cuckoo clock is a Loetscher classic. The simple design turns heads with its warm, honey brown edifice. Off to the right of scene, leaning up against the house, is a familiar sight on the Swiss landscape—hay poles. The golden haystacks we’ve admired so often in the paintings of Monet and Van Gogh’s were made by poles such as these before the advent of modern farm machinery.
- Off to the right of the scene is a fountain well carved from twigs. Bright bursts of colorful Alpine flowers crafted from locally sourced Lake Brienz stones encircle the well. A lush, thick and deeply verdant pine tree, hand-crafted from linden wood, stands proudly at the left side of scene. You can almost catch a whiff of that heady pine aroma!
